Morpholog
Our open-source compliance core. You write the rules for your trade books once. No change that breaks them can be saved, whoever or whatever proposes it.
Morpholog on GitHubWhy it exists
More and more of what writes to a trade book is software you did not write. Optimisers, models and AI agents book trades, amend them and settle them.
With Morpholog, none of them writes directly. Each one proposes a change. The change is saved only if every rule still holds. Otherwise it is refused, and nothing moves.
What it does today
Rules checked at the moment of saving. A trade, an amendment or a settlement is saved only if it keeps every rule. A limit breach or a booking in a closed period never reaches the book.
Refusals in business words. A refused change names the rule that failed and the values that failed it. An agent can read the refusal, fix its proposal and try again.
A tamper-evident log. Every saved change records who proposed it, what changed and which rules were checked. A check proves the history has not been edited since.
The books on any past date. Ask what a position or a P&L said on a past date, under the rules in force then. The past does not shift under you.
Evidence a third party can verify offline. Export the history to a file. An auditor checks it on their own machine, with no access to your systems.
A new rule tested against history. Before a new control is enforced, run it against past changes. See which of them it would have refused.
What it is not
Not a trading system. It does not replace yours. Screens, jobs, pipelines and analytics stay where they are. Morpholog guards the small part that must be defensible: the trades, the books, the filings.
Not an AI agent. It does not decide what to trade or what to fix. It decides what may be saved.
Not a substitute for your rules. It enforces the rules your risk and compliance people write. It cannot make a missing rule appear.

Glasshouse
Glasshouse is an open ETRM core for European power, built on Morpholog. Trades, curves, positions and P&L, with every write checked against the rules. It shows Morpholog at work on a real trade lifecycle.
